Howardsville  Colorado Townsite - Ghost town

Founded by what appears to have been quite a character, a mountain man named George Howard. Some people claim he used free labor to build his elaborate cabin. Well, elaborate for the times. George would invite strangers to stop and have a drink with him as they passed by his cabin. when the stranger was sufficiently lubricated he would ask them to help with the building of his cabin. One of the first batches of beer to be brewed at the new brewer in town was accomplished with the use of an old bathtub. The tram station for the Little Nation mine and several other buildings are all that remains.
