Ganes Creek Alaska Mining Camp Gold Photos 2008

Take a special look at the gold in the palm of the hand. It is covered with mercury. During a clean out we found numerous small nuggets covered like this.  Overall by metal detecting we collected over 20 ounces of nuggets with the largest a 5.22 ounce nugget. So a 5.22 OZ nugget at $900 an ounce - that is about $4700 melt value. Market value is much greater.
