Agate Colorado June 2020
I really like agates and brought numerous examples back from my Alaska trips so I went here hoping I could pick up some agates. I should have known better. I polish them and add them to my jars of polished rocks. You can do silly stuff like that when you are retired.
Yes, they did find Agates near here. And lots of them. This is the one in Elbert County not the one near Pueblo. Originally name Gebhard after a local rancher in 1881. The name eventually was changed to Agate, Still has a post office.
