Overland Trail – Colorado

This was one of the years best adventure, with the exception of all the gold I found in Alaska. This was a private guided tour of the Overland trail in Colorado. The list is endless from what we saw. It was hard to decide what pictures to use as we took over 500 photos.
What we saw – the ruts in numerous places as we walked parts of the trail, signature rock with pioneer initials, Tepee Rings, Steamboat rock, Mark Twain at the Virginia Dale stage stop, a bear, several other locations where there were stops, Freight wagon tracks, a cliff where the Indians ran buffalo over the side, and yes there are still bones there. Great adventure. This is another one that people can see some from the road but I bet 99% of the people that pass it never notice.
