Dyersville Colorado Townsite – Ghost town

I always wondered where this town was. I have been interested in Father Dyer the famous mailman as my father was a mail carrier for 35 years. Will, a friend and avid ghost town historian, took me here in September of 2006.  Not only did I explore the remains of the town but also the Warrior’s Mark mine just up the road. Well worth the trip. Father Dyer was a preacher who worked as a mailman to help support himself. He carried mail over Mosquito Pass (13,000 ft) in the winter on homemade 11 foot long skis. I would like to get my hands on the book he wrote about his experiences.
