Farnham Spur Colorado Townsite – Ghost town

Not much left when you get here. You can still see the depressions from many cabins, some foundations, lots of timbers but not much else. Apparently this was a rail spur on the rail road from Como to Breckenridge during the gold rush days. Some folks say there was a mill here and numerous mines in the area would bring the ore to this area for shipment. Small town with a post office that lasted only four years.
Most people drive right past this place without ever noticing. I can’t blame them as it is on one of the most popular Aspen viewing roads in Colorado.
