Engineer City Townsite – Ghost town

All that is left is this foundation from an old powder house. Now let’s see, If I take the powder house door I found in Sunset and haul it up Engineer pass we could reconstruct the Powder house. Guess I will wait till spring. Little nasty at over 12,000 feet during a Colorado winter. At one time they claimed, ” We believe this is the only city in the state that can boast of 300 to 400 inhabitants without a whiskey shop.” Â Also no post office. The town / city probably lasted less than ten years during the late 1870’s thru the early 1880’s.
